Here in Canada, it's the only way I can get bloodwork done. Beyond that, medical insurance only covers a fraction of things that I've not seen for this, for over 15 years. My situation is hugely convoluted by money-gaining government workers that won't answer any communications for a month or so, in light of getting a referral. i'm caught up in that situation now for an ENT referral between two doctors/specialists that simply don't listen.
Having one chronic is one thing. Having another and not being told which starts the other, or what relationship they have (other than 'it could'), then managing the labyrinth of 'government professionals', is beyond tolerable. Having three degrees in related stuff and just wanting answers while my life flounders, is inducing crazy.
