Early TV seems to have been fascinated with concepts like that. I give you:
A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
Unless it’s a talking horse named Mr. Ed.
And then TV graduated to “What’s that, Lassie? Timmy’s in the well?”
And now we have the same human and animated sitcoms over and over. Only the names and locations change. Sometimes the races.
I want a reboot of My Mother the Car.
