My late step-grandfather (my grandmother married him when I was a teen) was named Ed, and we'd refer to him as Mr. Ed. My dad would go "Ohhhh, Wilbur!" in the voice of Mr. Ed (the horse) when we'd talk about him. My dad can be pretty goofy.!
