Going off anti depressives ADs can be a risky business unless proscribed by your doctor. First there is the need with some to taper off. Secondly there is the initial good feeling of not having those side effects that going off ADs has BUT over time one can either get very depressed and need medication or other treatment or you may start self medicating.
It may help if you combine getting off meds with lifestyle changes like eating healthy low carb diet without sugars and startches, exercising and walking, doing meaningful activities incliuding interacting with people.
I am no expert but I have watched my partner struggle with depression and mania for years. It is a serious illness.
