I was afraid of it too but am so glad I wound up on it. I knew for a while that it was going to be likely because I was running out of meds my pdoc was willing to try because I had so many EPS reactions to 2nd generation APs that she was wary of trying 1 generation ones. So for some time when I'd get worried about running out of meds or that I wasn't responding to something she'd remind me that "there's always clozaril". And the time came and I've been on it 8 years and I've also been out of the hospital for 8 years and I don't rapid cycle anymore. I'll answer more in the other thread but it sounds a lot more scary than it really is.
