I was on morphine after I had surgery to repair an ulcer perforation; I had vivid visual hallucinations. Several years later, I was on morphine for microfractures in my hips, and that made me hallucinate vividly as well, same thing with oxycodone. In the past, I've been on hydrocodone for injuries or dental procedures, but I've never hallucinated on that.

I am sure the hallucinations I had while on opiods were triggered by the opiods and not bipolar. I have had auditory hallucinations while hypo/manic, but when I have the visual hallucinations, I'm WAY into psychosis, so bad I can't communicate with anyone and with days blacked out. But the opiod hallucinations would always go away when the opiod was stopped or even when the dose started to wear off between doses.
