@Albatross Yea, me! Great song even though it's very sad. This song came out in early 1976. The song was written about the death of Brian Wilson's (of the Beach Boys) dog named Shannon. Henry Gross was with the group Sha-Na-Na, who had an half-hour TV show performing popular 1950's songs and comedy skits. Henry left that group in 1970 before they became popular.

I personally didn't know he was with Sha-Na-Na. I thought he was formally with the Beach Boys. He had that kind of voice for the Beach Boys.
