I get it. I'm 28 and I've never really felt a solid sense of stability, but things are starting to look up.

I used to hate the phrase "this too shall pass" because I pictured some sort of object like a car passing you on the highway or a plan or a meteor, and once it passes, it passes. I get that it's more like a cycle where everything ebbs and flows. Times where things are intense and stressful, and times that are calmer, and there's really no easy pattern to find. Life is just random, who knows what will come next. If it's bad, good times will probably come. If it's good, bad times will probably come too (and don't get down about that thought, just use it to be more in the moment and not be let down). It's useful to use the memory of some of the better moments in the past as hope, and the memory of your worst days as proof that you can get through them.
