Just be careful when you make these decisions and jumpstart things that you are not doing so in a hypomanic state. I realize I don't know you, but I have to say if I had an overly ambitious plan like yours, I would have to seriously question is this a plan I'm coming up with while I'm in a place of rock steady stability or could I be manic?
And definitely do NOT rely on internet sources as to income, insurance, qualification for state disability and aid, etc. $81K seems like a lot to be able to make and get state insurance especially in a state with a low cost of living. My husband taught high school at one point, and I didn't work, and teachers' salaries in Texas are CRAP and even then, my household income was too much to apply for state health insurance.
