It’s higher cost of living state so that’s why it’s 400 more. It’s not a mystery. You’d be getting Medicaid everywhere since you are all disabled. The place isn’t livable. Of course it’s low rent. Rat infested and not suitable for physical disability. Rats????Person with cerebral palsy has a tub she can’t climb into? In a place that is supposed to be for disabled?

Social services are non existent. No government help. Vocational rehab way worse than all of us have in our states. Overall the area you described is awful. Assistance you are receiving is minimal. Can’t even get dentures when people in other states get that covered.

I am sure there are worse places but the place you are at sounds horrible. I don’t know how you can say it’s a good place when you consistently described it as a he$$ on Earth
