Do you live with your mom? That would make her comments painful to hear if you fear going off meds.
My friend does not like pills but they keep them stable. Going off those without professional advice has had results for her like usually going inpatient.

---I have had bipolar for decades and I am family caregiver for my ex, a veteran with many disorderS. SIDE EFFECTS ARE A VERY REAL ISSUE. THE MORE MEDS YOU TAKE, THE MORE YOU HAVE TO CHECK FOR DRUG INTERACTIONS AND BE AWARE OF OTHER TRIGGERS IN YOUR LIFE. DRUGS.COM HAS BEEN HELPFUL TO ME. MAYO CLINICS HAS A SYMPTOM CHECKER. OF COURSE NO ONE WEBSITE IS ENOUGH TO RESEARCH A COMPLEX SUBJECT. DO NOT GO OFF YOUR MEDS WITHOUT DISCUSSIONS WITH YOUR PDOC, YOUR T AND YOUR GP. MAKING A CHART (TABLE) ALWAYS HELPS ME LOOK AT PROS AND CONS.
