Anyway, genesight just looks at 15 genes that deal with metabolizing psych meds and

Structural genes determine enzyme production, but outside factors can affect the enzymes that breakdown the meds too, and the Genesight testing doesn't account for that (although I think they do take cigarette smoking into consideration), which could be why some meds in the green don't work and some in the red do, and probably why some meds didn't work years ago but if someone tries them again they have a chance of working.
