I just fell down a rabbit hole at Google searching what birds do in a hurricane. As one article said "they do the best they can." Some hunker down. Some "evacuate." They find places to hide. Sadly, some are killed.
Something I did think about was that their food sources got destroyed. Plants got deluded by the wind. Bugs got blown away. Going to keep the bird feeders full so they have something to eat.
