May I ask what is the reasoning for not getting another dog? I am all for respecting your husband's opinion, but if having one is therapeutic. I can understand you being absolutely devastated. For some people a pet is just a pet and then there are those of us that see them as family. I still miss my baby and it has been over 3 years since I had to put him down. He was my comfort as well.
