Try not to think in black and white, all or nothing. If you ate the lemon meringue pie it’s okay, it’s okay to have a treat now and then it doesn’t ruin the diet for the rest of today. Just make healthy decisions for the rest of the day

I get stuck in this though pattern a lot where I eat something I consider “bad” then I say **** it I screwed up so my diet is now ruined. Then that caused me to proceed to binge eat because I don’t care after that and think I already screwed up for today so I might as well eat whatever I want then start over tomorrow. It’s okay to veer off your diet now and then, it’s natural. People are human and not machines, we all slip up sometimes. I wouldn’t even call it a slip up actually, a treat occasionally is fine. Eliminating certain food groups entirely tends to backfire at least it does for me. That’s what I learned in intuitive eating
