Yep I finally bit the bullet and spent some money on a new DSLR camera
The battery is now charging and I can't wait to take it for a spin. The other one I had was 8yrs old, an Olympus. Was a great camera in it's day but only a 2.8 megapixel with a very tiny little lcd screen. Pics looked good on it but when transfered to computer, they looked yucky
It was a toss up between a Nikon/Sony/Olympus. I really liked how the Nikon felt in my hand, but it was a bit heavier than the Olympus. That is an important feature to me as I'm quite the weakling and I shake a lot with anything heavy in my hands.
So I stuck with the Olympus on a 14 day trial period. I didn't go with the highest end camera...I'm not a professional so I went with the Evolt E420 10mega pixel. Nice little camera.....doesn't fit in my hands as well as the Nikon, but it is much lighter. The store was running a special on it and it included 2 lenses, carrying case and some neat stuffs along with it.
My older Olympus was not good at taking macro shots. I love doing macros....so this new baby handles macros very well. It also has some other neat functions that I know I will never remember or learn how to use..
As soon as the batter is charged and I can start snapping pics I'll try to get a good one and show ya'll how it does
