@splitimage I went to see a new pelvic floor physical therapist and even though my issues are urinary, she asked me all sorts of questions about all the pelvic floor organs, and among those questions were:

- do you experience pain during gynecological exams?
- have you experienced sexual trauma?

So, given that these questions appear to be part of the workup, of standard care, I think it is safe to assume that you are not alone in fearing gynecological exams.
