When I walked out, I walked out & no one could "shame blame" me because I knew exactly why I left & why I would NEVER go back. Yoy need to get to that mindset so that nothing they try to say will bother you.
My bad marriage built up over 33 years & in my case, everything he did & said was actually wrong so for me it was best to leave for my own mental & financial well being. He was sure he was right & would fight me.....years later (11 years after I left) he said he hated that I was right all the time. He learned the hard way because he held onto his thinking & doing after I left & he lost everything. I walked away with nothing but gaining my mental wellness. May look hard hearted to others but sometimes that is what taking care of yourself looks like to them. Caring for self is a much higher priority that caring about what others think
