The post was about the ring because it is taking time to get used to - not the wedding itself. The wedding was only mentioned as a reason for the ring because otherwise I would have no reason to wear one at all. The wedding itself didn't change anything for my day to day life. I am normally against marriage as I think it is an institution based on misogyny and women as chattel with a bit of religious oppression thrown in as well. I was convinced though by the practicality of it, concerns over Obergefell, and a need to get things established before we become totally outlawed in the place I live at the moment -hoping to get out of here before that happens but some of the timing is out of our hands
