I got into a program through the state that can help with some fees, and have been looking around at degrees/certificates. I really don't know what I should pursue though. Jobs I could get from environmental studies would probably be my ideal job at present, but getting the actual major sounds incredibly boring and frustrating based on what courses the school's I've looked at require. I know it's only coursework, but if I'm not interested I'm probably not going to get through it; I just can't work like that. Honestly if I were just "hey, let's learn" I'd major in math, and there are jobs I'd be interested in, but looking those up (statistician, research, etc.) practically every decent position wants post-grad degrees, and I'm not sure how I'll feel about that by then. (Also to a lesser extent thinking about chemistry or biology).
And I'm also taking courses now to be a ski instructor (will not be confident to test for PSIA certification this year due to being out of practice, but I plan on testing my ski legs at some point this month and see how it goes), so if I ever get to a point I can sustain myself doing that and summer rec stuff seasonally, of course I'd blow off giving thousands to a university to read a book they pay someone to recommend for that (I mean, labs too, but yeah).

"I don't know what I'm looking for."
"Why not?"
"Because...because...I think it might be because if I knew I wouldn't be able to look for them."
"What, are you crazy?"
"It's a possibility I haven't ruled out yet,"
