I’m also doing a grocery store order today. Lots of good healthy foods. Boneless skinless chicken thighs, eggs, whole grain bread, bananas, a large bag of frozen berries, Brussels sprouts, frozen peas, 3 packs of lean ground beef, cheese, peanut butter, lots of other stuff to make several different types of dinners, plain greek yogurt. Yeah lots of good stuff.

So that’s my big grocery order in attempt to start eating healthier/more balanced. My main goal is to cut out sugary sweets. Which I got none of.
How can maple syrup be sugar-free? I love its taste and limit it to a bare minimum because it is basically sugar. I am curious to learn if you can get the same taste in a sugar-free version.

I have also read that it is not true that greens powder is a servings of veggies because the fiber, when blended, doesn't work like the actual fiber you eat (say, Brussels sprouts and peas on your shopping list are awesome sources of fiber). You probably get micronutrients, though. So, I guess, it partially counts as a veggie serving for micronutrients but does not count as fiber. I know a lot of people put spinach into smoothies, but then again, when pulverized, it does not count. Also, I have read that spinach is absorbed better cooked than raw. I make soups with a lot of spinach, plus beans, plus Parmesan cheese, plus mirepoix and chicken broth – very tasty and can post the recipe. Put one huge bag of washed spinach leaves into a 6 liter/quart pot and make lots of soup and then eat it all week long. Does not take much time and is a complete meal: beans for protein and carbs, spinach and mirepoix for veggies, Parmesan for more protein and fat.
