Boy, did I put my new pair of socks to the test!!!
Two days ago, completely by happenstance, I found out that my classmate from 5th grade whom I later briefly met during my college years lives very close by and has been for the past 17 years.. I last saw him in the early 1990s. He called me and we chatted for... you won't believe it... more than 7.5 hours!! I was telling him my story and then he was telling me his.
All the while I was walking wearing my new socks and my favorite autumn boots. First I was just pacing the floor in my apartment but then I went outside to breathe fresh air and walked inside our complex for several hours (wearing headphones). So did I test the socks?! I did. They did not run down. They did not constrict my lower legs. They were comfortable. I forgot that I was wearing them. To sum up, Solmates were pretty darn perfect. So the remaining test is to make sure they do not shrink in the wash. I will hand wash them tomorrow to begin testing that.
