HI, KELLY: Yikes! You are ingesting "knockout drops," also known as a "Mickey Finn," which has a very interesting history.

In the old days, at waterfront bars, "recruiters" would slip chloral hydrate into a fellow's drink. The next day he would wake up far out at sea, sailing for who-knows-where, as the new deck hand! I think they called it "shanghai-ing."
Errrr.....your new Rx is quite potent. If it isn't doing the job for you, could be you need to add some bed time and wakeup time rules to the mixture.
I can certainly identify. My circadian rhythm is broken, and I've been trying for more than 5 years to fix it. Problem is, I think my AD (an SSRI) contributes to the problem by keeping me owl-eyed. So, my night and day are turned around. Also I do the stay-up-for-days not so very cute performance, which always ends with crash and burn. I'm sure tired of those hills and valleys. Believe me, I understand your despair.
Good meds help. Hope the chloral hydrate works for you. Also, in addition to the meds, I've just found a web site I really like that puts a different spin on dreaming, REM sleep, and restorative sleep. It's called "Depression Learning Path." I'm so desperate I'll try anything. I'll even read directions and follow them.
