I did pilates today after that long walk yesterday. I was pleased however in that my flexibility has improved quite a bit from when I first started doing pilates. Also, I've been better able on floor leg exercises at keeping my hips still (as the instructor suggests and not rocking through them), and wow, I couldn't do that at all in the beginning; I rocked through my hips a lot no matter how still I tried to hold them. And I held a plank 1 min. today and a second time for 45 sec! Maybe I'm not quite as hopeless as I thought. And I can once again get up from a seated position on the floor without pressing down on the floor or grabbing nearby furniture to stand back up! I'm sure power walking helps some too, but I have to say I think pilates is definitely helping my overall core strength.
