For anyone interested....Pristiq is an SNRI so it impacts both serotonin and norepinephrine. Most people start off on an SSRI which is just increasing the serotonin - like Prozac, Zoloft, etc. For most people that works fine. And that's the way to go.

For a minority of people, the SSRI's are not enough so we need an SNRI. As a first choice, Pristiq was an odd one!
