Last Friday I had urinary retention and had to go to the ER. My primary dr said it was caused by being constipated and prescribed Senakot to relieve my constipation. After only two days on it I have diarrhea so I’m going to stop taking it, drink more water , ate a banana and call my dr tomorrow. You can become dependent on Senekot just like colace which I took for less than a week when I was first constipated. I’m going to keep the senekot though because I may have constipation after my biopsy a week from Friday as they’re going to give me fentanyl.
