Nuvigil and Provigil (cousin drugs) are not on the list of what you have tried. They work differently from the meds you have tried. Both did nothing for me personally (when I was sleepy and would take one of them, I proceeded to sleep more as if I had taken a sugar pill), but mine was an unusual reaction. I have a friend with bipolar II who takes one of them and the medication helps him a lot. My friend works full time (admittedly, on a flex schedule) despite a very severe form of a disorder and it took him a great many years of trying unusual med combos, but ultimately he has found stability which is with him nearly all the time. He also has a creative outlet by writing a blog on technical topics, his area of expertise, and he listens to a lot of music videos on YouTube that span decades, originals and covers. Lastly, he vapes marijuana and for him personally doing so helps the overall mental state. He only vapes on weekends. He is not an addict and vaping is a special treat rather than an escape from everyday life. In the past he drank beer but then stopped. I wish my friend exercised but to him, it is not a possibility, probably because he gets bored. No, his life is not perfect but it is good enough, with enriching interests and outlets. Considering that when he was young, he made several attempts at his life by using the exhaust in his car, he has made a tremendous amount of progress. He raised children and has a couple of grands now. He says that he was lucky back in the day to happen on a psychiatrist at a Boston hospital who was willing to combine drugs that normally aren't used together. Had my friend been confined to typical combos of medications, he would not have found such effective and long playing relief.
