Very glad that Wegovy is helping! A word of caution: on these drugs, treadmill is not enough. You need strength training to build muscle. These drugs, if you do not counteract with resistance training, can lead to muscle loss. It has been written about.

I used to be on Ozempic (lower dose of the same ingredient as Wegovy) and am now on Mounjaro. I did not lose muscle, but I put in time into strength training, consistently.

The very first weight loss doctor who put me on Ozempic (I have switched providers since), herself a somewhat overweight middle-aged woman, told me that for weight loss, if you absolutely must choose between cardio and strength, strength is more important. Of course, ideally you do a bit of both.

You can go on a treadmill AND build muscle if you wear a weighted backpack. I can send a link to the product on the US Amazon. Not sure you have the same in AU. But I have read a lot about various ways to add weight to walking and backpacks are the safest and most ergonomic option. They are better than ankle weights, wrist weights, and the like.
