I just logged on with DuckDuckGo and the ads aren’t there so it seems like it’s an effective Ad blocker. I was using Safari before.

I didn’t know browsers make a difference but I’m probably not online enough to notice.

Personally I don’t see any differences between browsers no matter what site I visit. People tell me to use this browser over the other ones but I see nothing different.
As far as this site, 90% of the time I use my phone to get online and just use Safari, the default or native browser. At the library I use Chrome out of habit because they didn’t have others at the time. Now they added Firefox and Edge.
I have Firefox on my phone now to try it sometime. But I don’t like change so it’d be hard to. An acquaintance tells me to use Firefox because Google spies on you. Then another person told me everyone spies on everyone else.
As for ads I get one on the bottom. Not as distracting as the middle of the page. I think I see them on Chrome too. I’ve found it’s better to scroll past ads rather than closing them. As you say more will pop up. I do this on any site as everyone has ads. Unless it blocks something I scroll by. I hate the video ads that automatically start blasting their pitch to me.

Startling and I hate animated ones too.
