You can set you "default email notification" to "no email notification", and with that option, your replies show up instantly in your subscribed threads list, which shows up under "my profile".

You set that notification under my profile, edit options, in a single box about a third way down the screen, you cant miss it. You may also want to select the forums you want to look at in the last box on that page. Dont forget to save your changes before exiting.

Between the my profile listing and "new posts", i feel i see what i want and dont see what i dont, like the games threads - they make me nervous!
