I have never worked at Ross but was a regular shopper there until recently.

Where I live, the stores are often understaffed so the employees there seem to have a lot on their plates. They may be restocking and then interrupted to come work as cashiers or they might be refolding clothes and then the same thing happens. Seems kind of high pressure.

Of course this could just be in the stores where I live. I don't know how things are where you live. Sorry I could not be helpful.
