Never in my 18 years of living here in Ky have I seen floods like this. Feels like the whole central Ky is under water. Thankful the creek & runoff stream are down the hill in my woods.....but neighbor is right next to the creek. The Ky River, the Dix River, & the Ohio river are all cresting tomorrow & they already have the towns around here totally flooded. I have a family I am friends with who just lost the RV they were living in to the River. Frankfort & Louisville & the little town of Burgin are mostly under water near Harrongton Lake (dam). My home is high & dry with just a little water seeping into my basement. Many in the area have the whole 1st floor under water & many roads are closed do to deep water.

The water treatment plant had to be shut down so when the area uses up all the water from our storage tanks, water will be shut off probably for about a week then it will be boil requirements until the water is safe again. That is just the small town I live in. We have had nothing but tornado warnings & massive thunder storms this last week & since friday nothing but rain causing the flooding. Then Monday night it is supposed to freeze with temps into the 20's. It sure qwill be nice if Spring ever finds us this year.

I must say, Ky has continually thrown its challenges at me over the last 18 years. I am just thankful I bought my farm where I did, high & dry from the flooding, just can't go anywhere without running into it right now & so many have lost their homes in the bad weather in all the south & central states of the US
