I'm glad you were able to take care of yourself in that situation.
Maybe food didn't come up in the conversation with your case manager and it's good that you didn't have to lie.
But, yeah, I understand what it's like when everyone thinks things are peachy when in reality things are really hard.
It's upsetting that it's so easy to create the illusion that everything's ok, and people are willing to accept that easily, when your reality is very different. It's a very personal and lonely struggle.
I know you're doing your best in the circumstances, doing what's necessary to survive, and there's nothing wrong with that.
I don't want to pressure you to eat. But I hope you can take a moment to appreciate how much you're doing and how well you're managing despite your treatment team's lack of care and insight.
