Update on the jobless thingie...
Soon after getting laid off, I signed up for a lot of things at a frenzied pace. Then I got a call from someone who said to go see someone named Reshaun and bring Birth Certificate, Driver's License, SS card, a piece of mail.

A few days beforehand, I had only a vague idea that I had to go somewhere. I forgot the meeting was arranged by phone. I couldn't find a trace of the meeting anywhere in my email. It even seemed like someone wanted to set me up for a good physical in person identity theft. Thank goodness I recorded enough details on my Google calendar to vet it out.

Anyway, I still have no idea what the "WIOA" program is, except that it helps "displaced workers" get re-trained for a new career and not have to meet the reporting requirements for collecting unemployment insurance. But now I'm worried I'll have to sit in a classroom in a nearby city for > 20 hours per week.
