Ugh...trying not to make this too political. H got word that a program he is affililated with funded through a government grant aimed at largely minority areas (acting as a liason in STEM between 2 colleges) has abruptly been cancelled  It sucks for us because while it didn't pay a lot it was an extra $300 a month. The program had been getting a lot of positive attention of late. H told me he feels really bad because the woman in charge of the program had her entire salary funded through the grant, and now she is basically out of a job. A lot of the students in the program had scholarships through the grant, and those won't be renewed either. Such a wonderful country we live in...
