I know when I first moved here, I had beautiful Luna moths show up during the summer. The guy who owned the 8,000 acre cattle farm across the road died & his family auctioned off the farm. 2 owners later, the owner now raises corn & soy & has at least 10,000 acres. They spray the fields with herbicides before planting & then crop dust mid summer with helicopters right across the road. I haven't seen a luna moth since they started this. I miss my beautiful huge moths. On the other hand, this may also decrease the number of 17 year cicadas around here too. Sometimes I wish nature could just be nature good & bad. So far this hasn't killed off tge lightning bugs but think there are less that there was 18 years ago when I moved here
