Don't know if y'all have chiggers where you live but for me they are equal to wasps but you never can see them. Their bite is the worst itch I have ever experienced & lasts for weeks. Only thing that helps me is taking an allergy med that tones down the itch just a bit. Had an area of my farm I never went to much but one day was standing in that area with a friend. By the evening I was covered in hundreds of bites. I refused to go to the MD since I have bad reactions to steroids & didn't want a bad reaction on top of all the bites.....but it definitely put my body on overload & quite awhile to recover. I always keep organic insect repellant with me now. Seriously I know most of the insect population was a creation of satan's.
Ticks are horrible too & when living alone they always bite in a place out of reach
