That empty feeling is horrifying... At least for me, succumbing to that feeling and trying to ride it out by doing nothing only intensifies it. Could you try to set a goal for yourself, even if it's really small, to try to do something, especially something you enjoy and that is self-nurturing? Even doing one little thing has had profound effects on my mood.
