I was pretty tired this morning, so I did the easiest pilates video in the series I like. It pretty much feels like an extended stretching session for me, and the end is great with a good 5 min. or so of stretching not counting some of the stretches between exercises (espeically child's pose, that feels wonderful). The stretching really felt good on my lower back muscles which were a bit stiff from having to sit in the backseat of the car driving to my nephew's graduation yesterday. H has to ride in front as he is 6'4" tall and needs to push the driver's seat back to the maximum. My daughter has to sit in front because she has a tendency to get carsick. So lucky me, I get the backseat behind my daughter which isn't exactly the most comfortable, and our drive yesterday was 1.5 hr. each way. Did some planks too.
Noticed today wow, I have gotten quite a lot of muscle all over my body, lean muscle, not like a body builder or something. I am quite happy with my physical appearance. Well, I could do without the scar from ulcer surgery and the saggy boobs from breastfeeding, but otherwise feeling pretty good about how much exercise has helped me in the past year to accomplish this It was last June or July I started walking again as well as doing pilates and combining power walking with pilates and planks has been dynamite for me.
