My partner and I both have BPD.
On Saturday one of our cats had a seizure and he didn’t make it. My partner has been taking it very hard. He says it’s a punishment.
He is very stressed out about the house being messy. We have both been off of our meds. I have been trying to get us back on them but it is hard to remember. I can’t even keep my car clean. How do I help keep the house clean? I have ideas but it would be a long slow process. He says where is the time to do it. I think we need some help. But he is embarrassed to ask for help. I just don’t think the two of us can do it on our own being in this state mentally. He wants to drink and do drugs to cope , and I know that is a bad idea but I want it too. He says even if we got it cleaned it would just go back to the way it is in a week.
We are devastated about losing our cat.
Possible trigger:
I don’t want to leave him alone too long so I will leave it at that.
