A da nv do, shine upon me
As I wake in the morning
You are there.
When I lay down my head,
You are there.
To show me direction
To show me the way
When I am down in the valley
You are there.
standing upon the mountian still
You are there.
O Great Spirit,
Shine upon me with grace.

This is my favorite prayer it was written by a Native American named Paul Conley Aniwodi in 1996.

what a great post to read as i wake each morning and feel the Spirit around me... the true and simple beauty of our Earth alive is so inspiring.. i look outside to the forest and see the serene majesty of a tree which survives many harsh winters, its branches twisted by the forces of nature, a reminder of the powers of natures elements...
i can breathe in the strength of survivor inspiration when i see the small animals scurry about, foraging for nuts and insects to sustain them another day.. i watch as they bathe in the suns rays as they themselves feel the life giving love from our sun..... i take note that they are ever watchful for the hawk above who has his own intentions and instincts to survive..
i wait another day for the great circle of life to unfold itself around me...
