My guy always cut the sisal rope about 10 inch’s up on his scratch posts. It was like his signature. I’d get him a new post and within days, a rope would be cut and hanging. Just the one place. But he used the post, cardboard, his cat tree. Yet I still needed to cut his claws, oh he hated that.
