My mania and my depression evened out my bank accounts. When manic I spent when depressed I never went anywhere or ate so then I’d pay off the balances. I learned though that no matter how depressed I was I had to pay the rent and the utilities. More than once I got threatened with eviction for nonpayment and had to go out and get a cashiers check for the rent and penalties. You’d think they’d have some leniency for someone on sec 8 with documentation of bipolar, but no. Nothing worse than being so depressed I could hardly move but I had to go do that or risk being homeless again. Now thanks to technology my rent and utilities are paid automatically.
