My cardiac tests came back better than expected. I believe I had 5% in one artery uncalcified. So not what I was expecting and I’m very relieved that my heart is strong. My cardiologist put me on a statin for my cholesterol. I have a call into her nurse because that statin is causing unbelievable edema all over.
I completed the gastric study Thursday where you eat a radioactive isotope and they do scans every 30 minutes. It took me over 5 hours. That wore me out. I’ll get those results any day.
I have one final test - pulmonary function and some skin cancers to have removed and I should be good to go. My sister and two doctors have heard me wheezing and want that straightened out. I still can’t walk to the mailbox or take the trash out because I fight so hard to breathe. My sister, mom, niece and aunts are on vacation in Florida and it is a special event. I couldn’t go because of my fight to breathe and I’m a bit down about that. I really wanted to go. At least I can keep the air on 67, have bourbon glazed salmon each night, have time for a James Patterson novel and cuddle with mom’s dog who I swear was a support dog in another life.
I haven’t been to the pool yet. I think I’ll try for Wednesday. We’ve had a lot of severe weather here and it’s been dark and stormy. Enough to depress anyone.
I hope everyone has a peaceful evening.
