Does anyone have an opinion on this?
There are things that happened in my childhood that I want to know more about. The only way to find out is to go through 1) people who are more than willing to block any knowledge about it, and/or ask 2) people who are very vulnerable and were involved in it. This latter category is just as liable to alter or erase information as the first, yet because of their involvement I can more accurately gauge the truth from their responses. Should I ask them and risk retraumatizing them? Or ignore it and go on not knowing, despite thinking that knowing might help me?
I appreciate any perspective
