The whole thing sounds like a nightmare to me. I'm allergic to be stings so the idea of a swarm of killer bees gives me the heebiejeebies sit here in my living room. I don't know if I would be able to wade in to protect my horses. On the other hand I probably would.
Back in the day, wasn't there a horror movie about killer bees?

I am definitely not an expert on this... If you do decide to intervene in that situation, bring something to spray water or emit smoke, or lead the horses to a deep pond if you have one.
