I'm hanging in there. I'm in basically the worst physical shape of my life, and that is primarily due to poor eating and a lack of exercise. I can remedy these things, and I suppose I will, but it's almost impossible to summon the energy just to get going. My writing is going poorly as well, and I doubt I'll ever finish this novel, much less succeed in getting it published. I feel like I'm just running the clock out on the rest of my life, whether that's forty days or forty years. I have my vacation coming up, I leave on the 19th, but I'm not optimistic it will help much.

I am also considering withdrawing from my online friends. It just feels like none of them really like me. I'd rather just withdraw from everyone for a time. I've got some books to read on my trip and afterwards, hopefully they will sustain me for a bit.
