It's sad. In olden times, I mean way way back, medieval times and before...there was no such thing as separate bathrooms. Many Romans used unisex toilets and bathing quarters. Now, not to say things were perfect back then either...but considering all the knowledge that we have now (supposedly), you'd think we'd all be a lot closer to real equality. But look at me, I'm asexual and get discriminated against for that too... apparently even NOT doing something gets you in trouble these days...
