I see. So you speak of her as the grandmother to the bride. It makes sense, but note that she is the mother to your husband. If he were to come to this board with his dilemma, he would have to pose the question ❓ "Am I obligated to transport my infirm mother to attend my niece's wedding?" Quite likely, the responses would be different. How you frame the question affects the responses you get
