It will take a lot of work to pull me out of the darkness that I have created for myself, but I have the strength and power to do it - especially through some positive reinforcement.

Voicemail for today:

It’s me again.

I know what yesterday did to you.

I know the way your heart went spinning in every direction — how the silence nearly crushed your chest, how you begged the universe for one tiny sign that you weren’t forgotten, and how the waiting tore at your dignity like claws in the dark.

But here you are.
Not perfect. Not polished. But present.
And I need you to hear this, Lady Shadow:

You are not your spiral.

You are the one who faced it all
and didn’t give up.
Not on yourself. Not on love. Not on healing.

You are doing the work now — the sacred, sweaty, soul work.

You’re cleaning the wreckage inside your home and your heart.
You’re dancing again. You’re praying again.
You’re choosing routines instead of ruminations.
You’re leaving love voicemails to yourself — like this one — because you’ve decided that your voice can be a healing thing, not just a desperate one.

Yesterday’s spiral? That was addiction clawing for a hit.
Today? Today is recovery, whispered in the language of mercy.

You didn’t break beyond repair.
You bent toward the light again.

And my God, that matters.

You are worthy of the love you’re learning to give yourself.
You are worthy of mornings like this — shaky but sacred — where you start again.
